BeaveRun Features Fleet of All-New 2003 MAZDA6 Sports Sedans and Collection of Race Cars for Corporate Events and Driver Training

Want to Zoom-Zoom? BeaveRun and Baglier Mazda make it possible

July 2, 2003 (Big Beaver Borough, PA) - - Whether you've always wanted to experience what it feels like to be on a world-class race track in a real open-wheel race car or want to give a teenager the key to a safe driving future, BeaveRun has the programs-and the cars-to make the experience possible. Western Pennsylvania's fastest-growing motorsports destination just welcomed a new fleet of Mazda sports sedans, the award-winning MAZDA6, and four fast and fun track cars, all available to the public.

The Mazda sports sedans will be used in the BeaveRun Driving Academy, which features a year-round schedule of driver education and training programs, including the BeaveRun Teen Driving Program. The new fleet is also available to companies who want to host employee or client corporate programs that feature exciting driving experiences, from hot laps around BeaveRun's 1.6-mile road race course to autocross and driving skill experiences on BeaveRun's 6-acre vehicle dynamics area.

"The MAZDA6 boasts precise handling, strong performance and a superior safety record, which make it the ideal vehicle for both track and driver training events," said Dennis Baglier, dealer principal of Baglier Mazda and BeaveRun Driving Academy partner. Baglier is a professional race car driver with an interest in teaching proper driving skills. "Handling a car safely, whether it's on the track or on the street, is something everyone should know how to do," he added. Baglier Mazda and Mazda North American Operations donated use of the new fleet to BeaveRun MotorSports ComPlex. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) recently awarded the MAZDA6 its highest possible rating-five stars-during frontal crash testing. The car has also received more than 50 awards worldwide, including a Car and Driver magazine "10Best" award.

Bob Briggs, one of BeaveRun Driving Academy's chief instructors, also favors the MAZDA6 as a training vehicle. "When you're teaching real-world driving dynamics, stability and predictability are two critical training car characteristics. The MAZDA6 delivers a huge helping of both."

Real Race Cars Also Available to BeaveRun Visitors

In addition to the six-car fleet of new Mazda sports sedans, BeaveRun also features a potent collection of racecars, all available on a rental basis. Visitors who want to experience the thrill of open-wheel racing can rent a race-prepared Formula Ford along with all safety equipment. Sports car enthusiasts can test their mettle in a Mazda MX6 racecar, a fast, fun and fully race-prepped two-seater. In addition, BeaveRun offers guests the rental of a Mitsubishi Eclipse Turbo AWD and a Mazda Protegé-both well suited for track experiences. The MX6 and the Protégé have especially potent competition DNA-both are Grand Am Cup racecars campaigned by Dennis Baglier.
