BeaveRun MotorSports ComPlex Invites Community to "Get on Track for McGuire Memorial Foundation" At First Annual Oktoberfest

September 27, 2002 (Big Beaver Borough, PA) - BeaveRun MotorSports ComPlex, the country's newest multi-use destination for driving and motorsports enthusiasts, has partnered with McGuire Memorial Foundation, one of Beaver County's most noted non-profit organizations, to help raise funds for its extensive community service programs. McGuire Memorial Foundation, which provides advanced therapy, education, training and care for developmentally disabled, medically fragile children and adults will be the exclusive beneficiary of two fundraising events scheduled for Sunday, October 6, the second day of BeaveRun's first-ever Oktoberfest celebration. All entry donations collected for the two events-a 1.6-mile "Fun Run and Walk" around BeaveRun's world-class road race track and a Motorcycle Exhibition and Parade Lap-will benefit McGuire Memorial Foundation.

"McGuire Memorial Foundation has been accommodating special people with compassion, quality care and love since 1963," said Tim Silbaugh, BeaveRun MotorSports ComPlex co-founder. "All of us who live and work in Beaver County have been inspired by their dedication, and we are honored to play a small role in helping the staff extend critical services to even more people." Mike Walker, executive director of McGuire Memorial Foundation, welcomes the opportunity to partner with BeaveRun. "We consider them a valuable addition to Beaver County," said Walker. "As the country's newest motorsports destination, they're not only shining a national spotlight on the entire region, but are embracing a good neighbor philosophy by encouraging community involvement."

The "Get on Track for McGuire Memorial Foundation" Fun Run/Walk starts at 12:15 p.m. on Sunday and is open to individuals of all ages. Participants can register on-site, between 9 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. October 6. A donation of $10.00 to benefit McGuire Memorial Foundation is requested at the time of registration.

The Motorcycle Show and Parade Lap is open to all makes and models. All entries will qualify for a "People's Choice" Award, as well as a Parade Lap around BeaveRun's road race course. Motorcycles will be on display from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., with the Parade lap scheduled for Noon. A donation of $10.00 to benefit McGuire Memorial Foundation is requested from participants.

In addition to these "Get on Track for McGuire Memorial Foundation" events, Oktoberfest 2002 features two full days of activities and entertainment for every member of the family. Visitors will enjoy the Automobile Concours competition, a collection of the region's most distinctive cars, an Autocross competition, Karting Enduro, pocket bike racing (Sunday only), music, entertainment, food and much more.
